Why is my donation form not being displayed?
This can have a few different causes. Please note the possible error messages:
Error message: the given embedding address does not match the address provided. Please correct these settings in your FundraisingBox.
- Embedding address
Please check first whether the embedding address you have entered in the FundraisingBox really matches the web address where the form is to be displayed.
It is not sufficient when you utilise, for example "http://www.sampleorganisation.com" as the embedding address when the form is actually integrated under "http://www.sampleorganisation.com/donate.html"
Be sure to also look for the correct URL for encrypted websites
- Multiple domains
If you have multiple domains on the same site, e.g. www.sampleorganisation.com and www.sample-organisation.com, please contact our support so that we can unlock this special case. The same is true if you use multiple addresses for the same site, e.g. www.sampleorganisation.com/index.php?id=123 and www.sampleorganisation.com/donate.html.
Error message: the FundraisingBox logo was not embedded correctly.
- Embedding address
Also with this error message, please check first whether the embedding address you have stored in the FundraisingBox really matches the web address in which the form is to be displayed.
- FundraisingBox logo check
All online forms and the fundraising campaign tool from FundraisingBox are marked in the lower left corner with a small gray logo of the FundraisingBox with a link to our website.
The logo check verifies that all online forms are embedding this information. If the information is missing, the form will not be displayed and you will receive and error message.
Therefore, always copy the full code snippet under Settings > Donation form > Code snippet in the FundraisingBox.
- Lazy loading (reloading of images)
If everything is correct and the donation form is still not being displayed, please check if your or the CMS uses a so-called "lazy loading" of the images. That is, images are not loaded until they are in the viewport (visible browser area).
The FundraisingBox is thus not visible when the logo check takes place and an error message appears. Normally you can exclude images from lazy loading and have them load immediately. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact your CMS support or webmaster.
